As the main clinical teaching base for Department of Medicine in the Sun Yat-sen University, the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University carries out multidisciplinary training for undergraduate & graduate students, medical residents, and extension program for advance students from all over the country. 30 clinical departments provide master program, 23 provides doctoral programs and one provide postdoctoral program; there is 25 residency training base for secondary care, six specialist training base for tertiary care, plus 144 graduate student supervisors and 62 doctoral supervisors. “Infectious Diseases" is awarded as the national excellent courses and national bilingual demonstration course, it’s also one of the courses offered in English under the “Study in China” program of the Ministry of Education; "Sexual and Reproductive Health" is an open video course received national excellent course award; "Internal Medicine" and "Keep Away from Infectious Diseases" are open video courses with provincial-level excellent course awards. Psychiatry, Dermatology, Rehabilitation Medicine, Diagnostics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Sexual Medicine, Surgery, and Internal Medicine are awarded as excellent courses of the Sun Yat-sen University.
