Introduction of the Department of Plastic Surgery, Cosmetic Surgery, Reconstrustive Surgery
The department is one of the largest plastic surgery centers in South China. At present, there are more than 1000m2?of space. The outpatient clinic provides patient with comfortable and quiet environment. The clinic functional areas include laser area, treatment area, waiting area, operation area equipped with advanced liposuction, electric dynamical system, liposuction system and endoscope systems and so on.

Currently, there are 6 doctors,?2 technicians?and 8 nurses in our department, including Yan Ling (Professor, Chief?surgeon, with a doctoral degree), Zhu Lei and Huang Sheng-hua (Associated?Chief?surgeon, with a Master's degree), Zhong Gui-ling (Associated?Chief technician), and other 3 attending?surgeons with Master's degrees.?Meanwhile, our department is one of the provincial plastic and cosmetic surgery teaching bases. We provide general surgery courses for clinical majors, preventative major students and surgical master program in plastic surgery. We train postgraduate students, working professionals and residents.

Since 2004, we set up several centers gradually, including hair and fat transplantation center, mammary plastic and reconstructive center, body shaping center, facial plastic and aesthetic surgery center, repairing and reconstructive center, laser center equipped with a serious of the most advanced laser treatment system. In addition, the department has founded biomaterial repair center with college of engineering of Sun Yat-sen University. We are keeping great academic communication and technical exchange with famous plastic and aesthetic surgery institutes all around the world, including institute in U.S., Germany, South Korea and Japan, etc.
