Dr. Xu has engaged in the field of infectious diseases for 30 years. His work focuses on viral hepatitis treatment. Dr. Xu has conducted numerous FDA approved clinical trials to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of new anti-viral drugs for hepatitis B and hepatitis C. He currently serves as the Specialist Officer of Liver Diseases Department of Internal Medicine. Dr. Xu’s other research interests include the management of liver failure, liver cirrhosis and Infection of the central nervous system, such as cryptococcal meningitis.
