Introduction of the Department of Radiology

The department of radiology was founded forty years ago. Since its establishment, the department is the national leader in expert treatment, high quality teaching and research in China. Radiology is now a key clinical specialty in Guangdong Province, which provides both master and Ph.D programs in radiology.

Our team has 121 scientists, which includes physicians, technicians, full-time researchers and nurses. The department has two inpatient wards, one is located in Tianhe hospital and another is in Luogang hospital. Doctors travel between wards to treat patients visiting either of the two hospitals. In 2015, 274,963 patients visit our department for radiologic exams.
